Ronald is a Clown, Not a Rooster. Walk the Other Way, my Friend

Once upon a time, in a vast and bustling city filled with the clamour of daily life, there was a wise old man named Elias. He was known throughout the city for his profound wisdom and insight into the human condition. People from all walks of life would come to him seeking advice on matters both large and small.

One day, a young man named Julian approached Elias with a troubled heart. "Elias," he began hesitantly, "I am lost in life. Opportunities and choices surround me, yet I fear making the wrong decision. How do I know which path to take?"

Elias looked at Julian with kind eyes and replied,

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others…
— Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

He paused to let the words sink in. "We are gifted with this incredible ability to learn from our own experiences and those of others around us. Look around you, Julian. Learn from the successes and failures of others. Let their stories guide you and illuminate your path."

Julian nodded, understanding beginning to dawn on him. "So, you're saying that I should not just focus on my own trials and tribulations but also observe and learn from the experiences of others?"

"Exactly," Elias confirmed. "By observing others, you can avoid many of life's pitfalls without having to experience them yourself. You can learn from the wisdom of those who have walked the path before you."

Filled with new resolve and understanding, Julian thanked Elias and went on his way, determined to open his eyes and mind to the world around him. Julian found himself making wiser decisions as days turned into weeks and weeks into months. He listened to the stories of those he encountered, learning valuable lessons from each.

In time, Julian became known as a wise and discerning individual, respected by his peers and sought after for his advice. He often reflected on his conversation with Elias. He realized that the old man had given him the greatest gift of all: the understanding that wisdom did not just come from personal experience but from the shared experiences of all humanity.

Years later, Julian, now older and wiser, found himself in the same position as Elias once was. A young woman came to him, her eyes filled with the same confusion and uncertainty that Julian had once felt. Smiling, Julian shared with her the exact words that had set him on his path to wisdom:
